Cirrus GIIIx (G3)
Steel based with aluminium coating and ceramic in-layer, G3 is not malleable in the same way as the G2 material,
requiring a certain amount of industrial tooling where shaping is required, supplied in a basic size of 520 x 700mm
or cut to order from that maximum size.

Construction: 2 x aluminised steel sheet with synthetic fibre insert, double formed

Materials:      2 x 0.15 Feran steel, BS6536 AS05, 1mm synthetic fibre

Product Thickness:  4.45mm
Area Density:             3.51kg/m2

Thermal: conductivity @ 150C based on BS874 pt. 2 (guarded hot plate method) 0.11 W/mK
SAE J1361 hot plate test, temperature drop @ 150C- 54C

Internal Exhaust Test: (source/receiver distance 25mm, source/shield hot face distance 12.5mm
receiver: black painted 2.6mm steel, sample size: 25 x 8cm, receiver size: 15 x 10cm,
source running at constant power) horizontal flat sample.
